Terms of service

Elo Coffee Co — Terms of Service

Introduction

Welcome to elocoffeeco.com, owned and operated by Elo Coffee Co (“Elo Coffee Co,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, along with any purchases, browsing, or interactions you have with us through the site. By visiting, browsing, or buying from elocoffeeco.com, you’re agreeing to these Terms in full.

Take a few minutes to read through this document before using the site. If any part of it doesn’t sit right with you, please don’t continue using the website or our services — your continued use signals your agreement. These Terms apply to everyone who interacts with our site: casual visitors, registered customers, vendors, and anyone submitting content to us.

We may roll out new features, tools, or sections to the site over time, and those additions are automatically covered by these same Terms. We’ll post any updates or edits to this page, so it’s on you to check back periodically. Sticking around and using the site after we’ve made changes means you’ve accepted them.

Our online store runs on Shopify’s e-commerce platform, which powers the technical side of how we sell to you.

1. Who Can Use This Site

To use elocoffeeco.com, you need to have reached the age of majority in whatever state or province you call home — or, if you’re arranging for a minor in your household to use the site, you’re confirming you have the authority to give that permission.

Don’t use our products or the site for anything illegal, and make sure your use of the Service doesn’t run afoul of any laws that apply to you, including intellectual property law. Uploading malicious code — worms, viruses, or anything designed to cause harm — is strictly off limits. Breaking any of these rules can get your access cut off immediately.

2. How We Operate

We’re free to decline service to any person, for any reason, at any point.

Keep in mind that information you send us (aside from payment card details) might travel across networks without encryption and could be reformatted to work with different systems or devices. Your credit card data, however, is always encrypted in transit.

You’re not permitted to copy, duplicate, resell, or otherwise commercially exploit any part of the Service — or your access to it — without our explicit written go-ahead. Section headers throughout this document exist purely for readability and don’t carry legal weight of their own.

3. Content Accuracy

We do our best, but we can’t promise that everything on this site is fully accurate, complete, or up to the minute. Treat the content here as general information rather than the final word — if you’re making an important decision, verify it against more authoritative or current sources first. Anything you do based on our site’s content is done at your own risk.

Some of what’s posted here may be outdated by nature (think past promotions or archived material), and we’re under no duty to refresh it. We can change the site’s content whenever we like without warning, and it’s your job to keep an eye out for updates that matter to you.

4. Pricing and Service Changes

Product prices can shift at any time without advance notice. We also reserve the right to pause, alter, or shut down any part of the Service whenever we see fit, without needing to notify anyone in advance. If a price change, service pause, or discontinuation causes you or anyone else a loss, we won’t be held responsible for it.

5. Our Products

Some items we sell may only be available through this website, and stock on those may be limited — returns and exchanges on them follow our standard Return Policy.

We work to show accurate photos and colors of our coffee and merchandise, but monitors vary, so we can’t guarantee what you see on-screen perfectly matches the real product.

We may, at our discretion, restrict who can buy from us — by individual, region, or jurisdiction — and we can limit how much of any product is available for purchase. Pricing and product details are subject to change without notice, and we can discontinue any item whenever we choose. Wherever an offer we make is barred by local law, it simply doesn’t apply there.

We can’t promise that every product, service, or piece of information you get from us will

match your expectations, or that we’ll catch and fix every mistake in how the Service runs.

6. Your Account and Order Details

We can decline to process any order, and we may cap or cancel quantities tied to a person, household, or single order — including situations where the same account, card, or address is used repeatedly. If we adjust or cancel your order, we’ll try to reach you using the contact details you gave us at checkout. We also reserve the right to turn down orders that look like they’re coming from resellers, wholesalers, or distributors rather than individual customers.

Please keep the information tied to your account current and correct — that includes your email, card numbers, and expiration dates — so we can process your orders and get in touch when needed.

Check our Returns Policy for more on how returns and exchanges work.

7. Third-Party Tools

From time to time we might give you access to tools built by outside companies. We don’t control, vet, or monitor these tools, and we’re offering them to you exactly as they come — “as is,” with no guarantees attached. Any risk from using these tools is yours to take on, so it’s worth reviewing the third party’s own terms before relying on them.

If we add new tools or features to the site down the road, they’ll fall under these same Terms automatically.

8. Links to Other Sites

Some of what you find on our site — including products or content — might come from outside partners. Links that take you off elocoffeeco.com lead to sites we don’t control or vouch for. We aren’t responsible for checking their accuracy, and we carry no liability for anything that happens on those third-party sites or through their products.

If a transaction with a third party (linked from our site or otherwise) causes you harm, that’s between you and them — we’re not on the hook. Read the fine print on any third-party site before you buy or share information there, and take any complaints straight to them.

9. Feedback and Submissions

If you send us ideas, suggestions, feedback, or entries — whether we asked for them or you volunteered them — you’re giving us permission to use, edit, publish, adapt, and share that material however we want, without owing you anything in return. We’re not required to keep your submissions private, pay you for them, or reply.

We’re allowed (but not obligated) to review, edit, or take down anything submitted that we judge to be unlawful, abusive, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate, or that steps on someone’s intellectual property.

By submitting anything, you’re confirming it won’t infringe on anyone else’s rights (copyright, trademark, privacy, etc.), won’t contain anything illegal or offensive, and won’t carry viruses or malicious code. Don’t impersonate someone else or use a fake email to hide who you are. You’re on the hook for whatever you submit and its accuracy — we don’t take responsibility for content posted by you or other users.

10. Your Privacy

Any personal details you share with us through the store are handled according to our Privacy Policy.

11. Mistakes and Corrections

Sometimes our site has typos, outdated info, or missing details — this could touch product descriptions, prices, promotions, shipping costs, delivery estimates, or stock levels. We can fix these issues, update listings, or even cancel an order if something was listed incorrectly, and we can do this without warning you beforehand, even after you’ve already placed an order.

We’re not required to keep information current or clarify anything beyond what the law demands. Just because a page shows a “last updated” date doesn’t mean every piece of content on it has actually been reviewed recently.

12. What You Can’t Do Here

You agree not to use our site to: break any law; encourage others to break the law; violate local, state, federal, or international regulations; infringe on our intellectual property or anyone else’s; harass, threaten, or discriminate against others based on characteristics like race, gender, religion, age, disability, or national origin; post false or misleading information; spread viruses or harmful code; harvest other users’ personal data; spam, scrape, or crawl the site; engage in anything obscene; or try to bypass the site’s security measures. Breaking any of these rules can result in losing your access to the Service.

13. No Guarantees; Limits on Our Liability

We can’t promise the site will always run smoothly, quickly, securely, or without interruption, and we can’t guarantee that what you get from using it will be accurate or dependable.

We may pull the Service offline temporarily or permanently at any time, with or without warning.

Using our site is something you do at your own risk. Everything we provide — the site, the products, the Service — comes “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether that’s a promise of quality, fitness for a specific use, or anything else, except where we’ve explicitly said otherwise.

Elo Coffee Co and everyone connected to us — our team, contractors, partners, and suppliers — won’t be liable for damages of any kind arising from your use of the Service or our products, whether that’s lost income, lost data, or other losses, and regardless of the legal theory behind the claim. This holds even if we were warned such damages were possible. In places where the law doesn’t allow limiting liability this way, our responsibility is capped at whatever the law permits.

14. You’ll Cover Us If Something Goes Wrong

If a claim or legal demand comes at us from a third party because of something you did — breaking these Terms, violating a law, or infringing someone’s rights — you agree to cover our legal costs and hold us harmless, including reasonable attorney fees.

15. If Part of This Doesn’t Hold Up

Should any single provision in these Terms turn out to be illegal or unenforceable, that alone won’t invalidate the rest of the document. We’ll simply treat that one piece as removed while everything else stays in force.

16. Ending This Agreement

Any obligations that came up before the point of termination will stick around even after these Terms end.

These Terms stay active until you or we end them. You can walk away at any time simply by stopping your use of the site or letting us know you’re done.

If we believe — in our own judgment — that you’ve broken any part of these Terms, we can end this agreement immediately without warning. You’d still owe us anything you already owe as of that date, and we can cut off your access to some or all of the Service.

17. The Full Agreement

If we don’t act on a particular right or rule in these Terms at some point, that doesn’t mean we’ve given it up for good.

These Terms, together with any other policies we post, make up the complete understanding between you and us regarding the Service. They replace any earlier agreements or conversations, spoken or written, including older versions of this document.

If any part of these Terms is unclear, that ambiguity won’t automatically be held against whichever of us wrote it.

18. Governing Law

These Terms, and any agreements tied to the Service, are governed by the laws of the United States.

19. Updates to These Terms

The latest version of our Terms is always available on this page.

We can revise, update, or replace these Terms at our discretion by posting the new version here. Checking back regularly is your responsibility. If you keep using the site or Service after we’ve posted changes, that means you’ve accepted them.
